Who is Pastor Don Dukes?

Here is where I explain a little bit about me, my family, and how I got started in Ministry.

I was born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I grew up in a Christian family and my Dad was a Pastor. I have been walking with the Lord since I was 10. My pastor at the time prophesied over me that my life would be dedicated to the Lord's service. I volunteered in various churches until I went to Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale in 1989. I attended services, participated in the ministry, and was hired on staff as a custodian in 1993. As I served faithfully, I was given more responsibilities- from cleaning bathrooms to Pastoral Care Ministries. I was ordained as a pastor in September of 1999 and served as an assistant pastor overseeing the Prayer Ministry.

In 2004, we were sensing the call of the Lord to step out in faith from CC Fort Lauderdale to see what He would do in our Lives. He eventually led us to Whitefish Montana through two of our dearest friends Pastor Mike and Pam Rozell of Potter’s Field Ministries who were involved in planting the work in Olney, Montana (a town 22 miles north of Whitefish).We said yes to that call and assisted in the planting of the church (Stillwater Calvary) that started in Olney. We moved the church to the town of Whitefish after being in Olney for one year.We changed the name to Calvary Chapel Whitefish and Jesus used us to build His Kingdom for the next 2 years.The body grew as an authentic Book of Acts 2:42-47 Church, as it prospered in the Lord.

I thought that I was to Pastor that church for a long time until God knocked on my heart to leave the senior Pastor Role of Calvary Chapel Whitefish and to pioneer a ministry to the body of Christ at home and abroad that is based solely on returning to our first love (Jesus Christ) through the intimacy of prayer.So God birthed in our hearts (mine and my wife's),Prayer for the Harvest Ministries. We believe that God wants to raise up a harvest of souls through His word, the Power of the Holy Spirit and a Harvest of strong prayer warriors engaged in spiritual warfare on their knees.

God has blessed me with my lovely wife, Eliana, who was born and raised in Sao Paulo, Brazil.We have been married almost 13 years and have a precious 9 years old daughter, Juliana.

Authentic. I never wanted to become a Pastor after seeing all the trials my dad experienced as a pastor, but in my heart, I knew that God was calling me to be nothing but a pastor and that I couldn't run from it. And then God gave me a deep compassion for people, especially when they suffer. My prayer is that He will use me as an agent of healing.
